IRS Shuts Down MeF for System Maintenance from December 26, 2012

To the kind information of our E-file users, IRS business Modernized-e-file Production System (MeF) shut down is scheduled to start off on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 11:59am and ends up on Monday, January 07, 2013 at 09:00 am (Eastern Time). This schedule is meant for testing and maintenance activities of the IRS MeF system.

During the planned time, you can still prepare your returns with our e-file system. We would hold your prepared tax form until the 7th of January and transmit your returns to the IRS once their MeF production system is back in action. From there on, you will get your acceptance from the IRS within expected time frames as usual.

To avoid any last minute confusions during or before the downtime of IRS MeF system, we kindly request you e-file users to be done with your filing duties beforehand. Exemption From Excise Tax for Certain Wooden Arrows
